Where are the Angels?

I thought angels appear only in fairy tales
And were just myths and legends
I thought the void in my heart was eternal
Accompanied by only darkness

Gone the winter, comes the beautiful spring
Gone the rain and comes the welcoming sunlight
Away my darkness, now filled with glowing light
Away my troubles, now with dreams

The dreams that kept me survived and kept me going
The dreams that light up a fire along the path
Not just the path, but my heart
Not just my heart, but my soul

You put on a smile on my face
Which is rarely found
You breathe life to my body
And awakes my soul

When you are near me
I smell the scent of roses
I see the beautiful rainbow above
I feel your heat that warms my cold steel heart

While ice may melt
And water evaporates
The wind may carry the sands to anywhere
But I know my heart stands firm

You came along and proved me wrong
Just one look and I fall in love
The eyes of yours, so captivating
The voices of yours, so mesmerizing

Are you an angel from above
Have you come to bring about an end to my dusk
And announce the arrival of dawn

I thought angels appear only in fairy tales
But now I know it is not true
Shall I die and go up to heavens to be with you
Or shall I just cry and see you fade away
