about books

Just finished reading book 3 of Prison Diary by Jeffery Archer. All the 3 books written by Archer were fantastic. They were gruesome, sharply written and touching as well.

"Archer paints a bleak but true picture of life in prison... it is livid and disturbing, and will reach a vastly wider audience than any academic treatise or political pamphlet on the subject"

Ann Widdecombe, New Statesman

Jeremy was telling me about his addiction in sci-friction books recently, he thinks he's getting weird... reading about swords, dragons and magical powers. Ivy ironically is so worried about getting left on the shelves that she's reading a book about a 30 year old lady from London desparately looking for a husband. She thinks she's becoming a weirdo too.

I just didn't mention the fact to them that I'm reading about life in prison.

Chasing The Wind

Script? Done.
Cast? Confirmed. (3 girls and 1 guy)
Date? Rehearsal to start this thursday (12th Oct)
Title of the play? erm...

Here's what I've suggested,

Chasing The Wind

Life is never simple. Humans are complex. Yet we have never been in complete control of our lives. We try to change and adapt. But we are just pawns on a game board. The world is a stage, and we, merely chess bits. Are the things we have been doing, in vain? Are we just… chasing the wind?

And when things go wrong, logical and rational thinking tell us to rectify the problems. More often than not, we end up doing things that logic and rationality will not agree with. We try to find solutions to problems, not realizing that we are the problems. Are we just… chasing the wind?

Hopefully my committee will buy my idea!
