I Stand Far

Would you still remember every words I said to you? Would you still remember every thing I've done for you. I'm not sure if I'm just a passing cloud but I hope that sometimes you will still think of me.

Can you see the words
I wrote for you
Can you hear the songs
I sang for you
Oh you don't, oh you don't
'cos you're not here with me

I stand far
But I could see you smile
If I could just hold you one more night
I will be fine

Can you see the rain that falls
Can you hear the wind that howls
Oh you don't, oh you don't
'cos you're not here with me

I stand far
But I could see you smile
If I could just hold you one more night
I will be fine

I stand far
You know where my heart belongs
But I know your heart's not with me
I can only watch you go

Go search for your happiness. Life's like a jackpot machine. You keep putting coins into the One Hand Bandit and you'll never know when you will strike.

Temptations

Temptation is when you lose control at that very instance. Your body and your mind can’t communicate on the same frequency and this disruption causes oneself to destruct.

Your mind says ‘no’ but you couldn’t really fathom why. You give yourself reasons and logic to defeat the temptation but somehow it just doesn’t work. Is rational thinking the solution?

Temptation is an act that looks appealing to an individual. It is usually used to describe acts with negative connotations and as such, often leads to regrets and guilt. It could be the temptation to indulge in junk food when you know it brings down your health or you should be watching your weight. It could be the temptation to commit a crime like stealing, or the temptation of slacking away from doing what you should be doing.

Excuses are usually the outcome of the behavioral process of temptation. “I can’t control it”, “It’s just me”, “I’m sorry, I won’t do it again, I was just out of my mind” – The truth is, why are all these ‘excuses’ called ‘excuses’? You will very likely succumb to the temptation again.

So lays the question on how to resist and have a victorious triumph over temptations?

Emotion is the keyword. Emotions are far stronger than reasons and tend to have the final say. There are a few good reads which might help.

Don’t worry, if you are facing certain temptations in life that you would really like to battle against, just add in one more to the long list. That is, the temptation of clicking on those links above. Sometimes it’s alright to lose control, it’s perfectly fine to be yourself and of course you can just lose your mind once in a while. Not very often does a temptation lead to positive acts.

Tempted now, huh?
