A few guys at my office play the game, World of Warcraft. Mind you, they are not of my age, but in the early 30s. A couple of them are married as well. From their conversation, I could easily sense they are kinda addicted to the game. Well, most people who play that game will be. WoW is known to be one of the best MMORPGs ever produced. The funny part is, one of the girls suddenly asked this particular guy, "So between your wife and your game, who would you choose?" He answered without hestitation, "My wife lar!".
"Really?" The girl questioned again.
"Erm..." The guy suddenly had a clueless look on his face and everyone started teasing him.
I played the game myself back in Nov '04 when it just came out. Since then I've been a regular (almost 8-9 hrs a day) in the virtual world until last year when my school started and I decided to drop the game to spend more 'time' on my studies.
It was a hard decision to make. It's not because I will miss the fun and entertainment. I mean, yes I will, but these are secondary. It's the WoW friends that I've made over the past months that I can't bear to part with. It may sound silly as it's just online gaming friends afterall. However me and my usual 'gang' of friends were very close to each other in the game, as if we were like real life great buddies.
Asfalioth(Cuba/USA), Alegou(Taiwan), Belion(S'pore, a Captain in Air Force), Ganlin(Aus), Guna(Aus), Jaggerx(USA), Microdd(China/Aus), Microsu(China/Aus), Inzaghi(Taiwan/Aus) and Kir(Shunda, real life friend), I'll definetly remember the great times we shared, and the painstaking moments we went through in our WoW journey. Wherever you guys are, whatever you guys are doing, I wish you all the best.
