What sports car am I ?

I'm a Ferrari 360 Modena!

You've got it all. Power, passion, precision, and style. You're sensuous, exotic, and temperamental. Sure, you're expensive and high-maintenance, but you're worth it.

Turning Thai

I was suddenly reminded how ugly the world is, or rather how ugly humans can be. Ever felt sometimes you might be better off being blind or deaf?

Anyway, after so much have been happened for the last few days, I went to visit this pub call Thai Hip-Hop Disco on Thursday night, hopping to be able to unwind myself for a little. Was there with Jordan, Magdelene and another girl (forgot her name). I have never visited a Thai disco before, and actually the setting was more like a pub. Heard from Magdelene that to the Thais, this type of place is considered as a disco to them. For us Singaporeans it looks more like a pub though.

- the only beer they serve is Singha Beer

- 70% of the crowd there are Thais

- the people there are all damn friendly, the servers, the bartenders and even the DJ

- the live band is absolutely great. they perform not just thai songs, but english rnb too. oh yea, there were a couple of chinese songs also, and all the 3 female singers were... HOT HOT HOT!!! and not to forget, they perform in skimpy outfits too =p

- most of the girls there are... just quite pretty with model-like figure. why can't our local girls be like that too? haha!

Overall, it's a great place to unwind, to sit back, relax and enjoy the live band performing. A reason to go if you want to catch some eye candy too. I'll probably pay a visit to the place soon =)

First or no first?

I have always been a very ambitious person. I seldom settle for things that are second best, nor would I allow myself to be merely an average status teamplayer in a group. I always secretly yearn to be the apex of a system rather than just a component. In things that really matter to me, I will aim to be the first and the best. And if things don't go my way, I can tend to get fustrated and annoyed at myself for not achieving what I am supposed to. Perhaps at times I demand too much from myself, believing too much in my own abilities and potential. Overconfidence probably sums up better.

Does being the 'first' really matter so much? 'First' does not nesseccarily equate to 'best'. Take for example:

There are 10 people (me included) waiting for a lift. All the ten of us are going up to the tenth floor. I, being the ambitious one, always wanting to be the first, will be aiming to be the first to enter the lift. I've succeeded. I became the first among the ten of us to enter the lift. So what's next? I moved to the back of the lift to allow the other 9 of them to come in. Eventually I ended up at the rear of the lift, with a wall of 9 human bodies obstructing me from being the first to get out of the lift. When the lift reaches the tenth floor, you don't need a rocket scientist to guess if I would still be the first to get out of the lift.

Morale of the story?

1) Being 'first' doesn't really mean anything. Do you still remember who came in first in the Miss Universal back in 1995? Do you still remember who topped the Weekly Top 40 chart 12 weeks ago?

2) If being 'first' really matters so much, you have to be ruthless. Enter the lift and 'park' yourself at a position nearest to the door and make sure when the lift hits tenth floor, push everyone else back and dash out as fast as you can. Crazy it can be, but sometimes it takes a little insainity to reach your goals.

Charmed

I think my life is pretty charmed at the moment. Nope, I won't go into details. =)

Friends or Foe?

The dark clouds
Forming and merging
The flash that went across
Blinded me
Roar of a thunder
Like a victory song
Wind howling
Droplets falling
I feel the chill
My ears against the window
Louder and louder
Is the sky crying for me?

To this certain group of people:
You can laugh at me under that mask that you wear. You can go ahead and think what I/we have been doing are silly and the whole event will be a flop. You can joke among yourselves about me/us being incompetent. Just remember to take a good look at your mask that you refused to unveil to show your true colours. You can underestimate me/us, but never never and ever underestimate the Person who's been, and will be backing me/us throughout the coming 2 months. Come the day, because of His Love, Grace and Blessings, I can only imagine success.

That Person is none other than Lord Jesus.

Dear Lord, I thank you for providing me the much needed comfort. Amen!

3 kisses

I kissed my dog 3 times on last Sunday night.

1st kiss - when Harewood put the ball into Arsenal's goal

2nd kiss - when Dawson scored from a header from a Jenas's freekick

3rd kiss - when Lennon curled the ball with his left foot pass Chelsea's goalkeeper, Hilario

My poor dog looked confused and couldn't fathom my actions. He ran back to his room and stayed under the table. I would have kissed him the 4th time when Poll blew the final whistle.

Ok, I have not been blogging... will try to put something up soon. Stay tune!
